Doug Smith, non-executive chairman
Together with his long business experience, Dougs extremely strong network of contacts is a source of real advantage to the firm. Doug is one of Scotland's best known business characters. For some years he headed up Bowring's Edinburgh insurance broking operation before setting up Corporate Risk, selling it years later to US giant Johnson & Higgins. He ran their Scottish business for several years, until their takeover by Marsh, at which time he was appointed Marsh's Chairman for Scotland. Doug is now heading up his own risk consulting business, Eurorisk Partners.
